Preprint: Low-multipole CMB suppression (\Delta\chi^2 \approx 39.1) via 1+1D boundary condition
This repository hosts the preprint and numerical simulation data for the Damascus Topology Model (DTM), a geometric framework addressing the anomalous suppression of large-scale power (\ell \lesssim 5) in the cosmic microwave background (CMB). Operating as an alternative to standard inflationary modifications, the DTM proposes that the macroscopic universe occupies a negatively curved, toroidal dodecahedral manifold. To regulate the expansion and prevent geometric tearing at the initial singularity (t=0), the transition from the parent aeon is governed by a 1+1D fractal conformal boundary acting as a topological throttle. This restrictive lower-dimensional boundary condition acts as a high-pass filter, heavily dampening the largest spatial resonances (k-modes) while leaving smaller-scale macroscopic structures entirely undisturbed. Through numerical Sachs-Wolfe integration calibrated at k_{valve} = 0.00028 \text{ Mpc}^{-1} and a compaction density of \beta = 3.5, the model extracts a theoretical 62% suppression of the quadrupole (\ell=2) and a 38% suppression of the octupole (\ell=3). Evaluated against Planck 2018 temperature (TT) data, the DTM yields a total \chi^2 \approx 6.1 (reduced \chi^2 \approx 0.22) compared to the standard \LambdaCDM baseline of \chi^2 \approx 45.2, demonstrating a robust statistical improvement of \Delta\chi^2 \approx 39.1 and completely resolving the low-multipole tensio n.
