Gravitational Driving of Earth's Climate System — Based on the First Principle Unified Theory of Light String and the Physical Foundation of Ren Zhenqiu's Heaven-Earth Coupling Model

Earth's climate system exhibits regular seasonal cycles alongside prominent irregular interannual to decadal oscillations, such as the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) with a period of 2 to 7 years and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) on a multi-decadal timescale. As the primary energy source, solar radiation well explains the mean atmospheric circulation and regular periodic variations via its zonal distribution and seasonal changes. However, its annual relative variability is merely approximately 0.1%, which brings limited energy perturbation and fails to drive strong-amplitude interannual climate oscillations like ENSO. Additionally, solar radiation possesses no inherent mechanism to generate irregular cycles of 2 to 7 years. Based on the First Principle Unified Theory of Light String, this paper proposes that the continuous drift of gravitational lens focal points (regions with maximum density gradient of the light string field) inside the Earth serves as one of the essential drivers for long-term irregular variations of the atmosphere and oceans. The drift of focal points, induced by core movements, mantle convection and plate drift, leads to persistent tiny changes in surface gravitational acceleration. As continuous fluids, the atmosphere and oceans respond to any variations in the gravitational field. Although the change at a single location is extremely small, extreme weather disasters (typhoons, rainstorms) and earthquakes as well as other abrupt natural hazards will be triggered once the variation reaches a threshold through spatial integration and temporal accumulation. This paper also clarifies that solar radiation provides a stable thermal energy backbone (equator-pole thermal contrast and seasonal cycles), while gravitational fluctuations within the Earth exert modulation and triggering effects superimposed on the background (irregular oscillations and extreme events). The joint action of the two factors forms the observed climate system characterized by both regular and irregular variations. This study cites the Heaven-Earth Coupling prediction model established by Mr. Ren Zhenqiu through forty years of statistical research (main research period: 1980–2020). The model states that the abnormal superposition of tidal force resonance generated by the Moon-dominated "Three Celestial Bodies Alignment" triggers abrupt natural disasters. The prediction accuracy reaches 72.7% for extreme rainstorms and around 40% for imminent strong earthquakes. The Light String Theory provides first-principle physical foundations for this model, including energy sources (cosmic background light string field and energy convergence at gravitational lens focal points), amplification mechanism (frequency locking and chain resonance), energy accumulation mechanism (elastic potential energy of the light string field), triggering time window (coherence time and duration of geometric configuration), and qualitative physical interpretation of resonance regions. A five-layer causal chain from the light string field to extreme weather and earthquakes is constructed, and testable inferences are put forward in this paper.
