image2iga: A JIT-compiled Python framework for image-to-isogeometric analysis via spline template fitting
We present an open-source Python framework for image-to-isogeometric analysis based on spline template fitting. The framework targets the construction and simulation of specimen-specific models from volumetric images while maintaining the same CAD-compatible, analysis-suitable geometric support as the theoretical, generic or as-designed model. It combines three complementary libraries for multipatch B-spline geometry construction, isogeometric image-based fitting, and isogeometric analysis in linear elasticity. The proposed framework enables an end-to-end, efficient and reproducible workflow. Its performance is demonstrated on an additively manufactured lattice structure, but it can be applied to any imaged system for which an initial spline-based, analysis-suitable geometry can be constructed.
