Gravity from Description-Length Minimization: The MDL-Lovelock Principle and the GTE Derivation of General Relativity
Every other force in nature is described by a quantum field theory; gravity alone is still described by a classical theory, and the two are mathematically incompatible at the highest energies. This tutorial explains how the GTE framework derives gravity from description-length minimization. The MDL-Lovelock principle identifies the Einstein-Hilbert action as the minimum-description-length curvature functional over the GTE substrate, explaining why gravity takes the specific form it does — including the number of spacetime dimensions and the structure of the Einstein field equations — without assuming these as axioms. The derivation is independent of the other forces and proceeds entirely from the MDL selection criterion applied to continuum limits of the three-tape CMCA substrate.
