From Perception to Response An Integrated Model for Sentiment Analysis and Context-Aware Response Generation

This research aims to develop an integrated framework for human emotion analysis based on the concept of multimodal fusion, as addressed in recent literature . Unlike traditional approaches that rely on static feature concatenation, this work proposes a model grounded in temporal consistency and cyclical interaction among extracted features, enabling a more precise representation of emotional states within their dynamic context. The model follows a sequence of successive stages, beginning with the extraction of communicative intent from linguistic content Stage 0, followed by multiple analytical stages (1–5) dedicated to extracting affective features from audio and visual signals. These outputs are subsequently fused into a unified representation that emphasizes signal evolution over time, rather than relying on isolated instantaneous values. The model was evaluated using benchmark datasets, demonstrating competitive performance in basic emotion classification, achieving an overall accuracy of 81.48%. A comparison with widely used off-the-shelf models in the field showed that the proposed framework exhibits greater flexibility in handling multimodal data, along with the ability to sustain analysis under suboptimal conditions. Furthermore, the research proposes a future extension in the form of a context-aware response model that integrates the emotional state E and the logical intent I within an abstract relationship of the form R = f(E, I), paving the way toward systems capable not only of understanding emotions, but also of interacting with them in a conscious manner. This work presents a flexible framework that combines multimodal analysis, temporal modeling, and conceptual perspectives inspired by the humanities, opening avenues for developing more integrated systems in human–artificial intelligence interaction. Abstract
