Dental‐only vets celebrate first year

BRISTOL-BASED practice Luna the Dental Vets recently celebrated its first year with an announcement that it plans to expand its practices, services and products. Founded by vet and pet health entrepreneur Joe Inglis with pet lover and marketing professional Louise Cooke, Luna has clinics in Bristol and Reading, and will open new practices in Eastleigh, Hampshire, and Surbiton, Surrey, later this year. Alongside its existing preventive and surgical procedures, the practice will also introduce fixed-price treatments, making advanced restorative dental procedures for dogs and cats affordable, it adds. The founders say Luna was created to tackle dental disease in dogs and cats, which they describe as one of the UK's most widespread and often overlooked pet health problems. More than 80 per cent of dogs and 85 per cent of cats over the age of three have some form of dental disease, yet many pet owners struggle to access affordable dental treatment, they add. www.luna.pet
