Symbolic Field Interaction Theory (SFIT): Foundations, Regime, and Effective Dynamics

Symbolic Field Interaction Theory (SFIT) describes the dynamics of emergent coherent degrees of freedom arising from their interaction with a finite-capacity reservoir. The theory is formulated as a coupled slow-fast field system consisting of a slow coherence field (\psi) and a fast reservoir/interface field (\chi). Unlike conventional effective field theories, the reservoir possesses both a finite relaxation time (\tau_\chi \neq 0) and finite capacity (C[\chi] < \infty). Consequently, coarse-graining over the reservoir does not generally produce a local Markovian theory, but instead generates memory kernels, threshold effects, and nonlocal effective interactions. The central novelty of SFIT is the identification of (C[\chi]) as a dynamical state variable: the reservoir capacity is not an external parameter but is generated by the reservoir field itself. This makes SFIT structurally distinct from conventional nonlocal field theories in which memory kernels are imposed rather than derived from a self-consistent feedback loop.
