A Unified Solution to the Twin Paradox in Time Field Theory (TFT): The Unique Analytic Result of Metric Self-Consistency
This paper presents a complete and unified solution to the twin paradox within the axiomatic framework of Time Field Theory (TFT). We demonstrate that the age difference between the traveling twin and the Earth-bound twin is not a paradox, but the unique analytic result of metric self-consistency. Starting from the two core axioms of TFT—conservation of local intrinsic total speed and spacetime flux conservation—we rigorously derive the general proper time formula:d\tau = \sqrt{\gamma^2(\mathbf{r}) - \frac{v^2}{c^2}} dtThis formula unifies gravitational time dilation and velocity time dilation in a single mathematical expression, eliminating the need to treat them as separate effects. The total proper time experienced by any observer is simply the line integral of this expression along their worldline. We prove that spacetime flux conservation \nabla \cdot (\gamma \nabla \gamma) = 0 guarantees the uniqueness and self-consistency of the age difference. If flux were not conserved, different return paths would yield different ages, making the twin paradox a genuine logical contradiction. This work resolves the century-old paradox at its ontological root by showing that time is a local measurement benchmark rather than an absolute coordinate. This is the 24th paper in the Time Field Theory (TFT) series. It builds directly on the metrological foundations established in previous papers and provides the most concise and fundamental explanation of the twin paradox to date. All conclusions are strictly derived from first principles without additional ad hoc assumptions.
