Participation Without Representation: Decoding Electoral Trend in Bihar Elections
Bihar has made a significant move in the recently concluded Assembly election when female voter turnout exceeded that of male voters in more than 120 constituencies of the state. This article discusses this contradiction between women’s electoral participation and their limited political representation by taking insights from the existing literature.
