<div class="page" title="Page 3"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> The purpose of this study was to better understand what motivates collegiate student-athletes to participate in community service and the factors that influence their engagement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. Building on prior research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the study examined participation patterns, preferred service activities, the role of coaching influence, and the impact of incentives on participation. The study also addressed a key gap in existing research by focusing on what actually encourages athletes to attend and engage in service opportunities. By centering student-athlete perspectives, the study aims to guide the development of CSR initiatives that better align with athletes’ interests and foster more meaningful, consistent participation. </div> </div> </div> </div>
