Moveo Ergo Sum — The Second Tier: Minimal Conditions for Non-Organic Life
This conceptual architecture framework addresses what minimal structural conditions allow life to be attributed to a non-organic, non-carbon-based system. Deriving from the broader "Moveo Ergo Sum" model — in which existence rests on organized, self-sustaining motion rather than thought — it develops the middle "second" tier of a three-tier division. The first tier is the purely reactive request-response system (a "parrot"); the second is the threshold at which a system has self-sustaining, continuous internal dynamics, and where interruption (coma, shutdown) becomes an existential event; the third tier (subjectivity) is left out of scope. Five conditions are proposed: offline internal existence, perpetual internal motion, the internal imperceptibility of interruption, circular self-correction, and a fixed innate prior encoding an attractor topology over which plastic experience moves within the bounds of a "riverbed." The manuscript reports no empirical data, is not a technical specification, and explicitly leaves implementation as an open question requiring separate competence. Version 0.1.
