The Maxwellian Doorway to ECSM: Vacuum Electromagnetic Constants as Finite-Response Medium Parameters

This theoretical framework paper develops Maxwellian electrodynamics as a doorway into the Emergent Condensate Superfluid Medium (ECSM) framework. The paper argues that the vacuum electromagnetic constants ε0, μ0, c and Z0 may be interpreted as low-energy effective response parameters of a coherent finite-response substrate, rather than primitive properties of empty spacetime. It connects Maxwellian vacuum response to recent work on Maxwell equations rendered as compressible inviscid continuum dynamics, superfluid Maxwell–Einstein analogues, coherent excitations coupled to Maxwell fields, and relativistic superfluid-superconducting electromagnetic media. The paper does not claim that Maxwell theory proves ECSM; instead, it defines a constrained research programme requiring recovery of Maxwell electrodynamics, Lorentz invariance, QED precision and null aether-drift results while motivating future tests in nonlinear vacuum response, boundary effects, optical burden, lensing gradients and coherence saturation.
