Moving from Training to Implementation: How Institutions Use the Tools and Learn Through Practice
This column serves as a follow-up to the previous discussion of the IMLS-funded project that introduced a workshop series designed to equip academic librarians with practical assessment tools. Moving from training to implementation, this phase focuses on three institutions that adapted the tools within their local contexts. The column describes the characteristics of participating institutions, the support structures provided during implementation, and the ways each institution adapted the tools to align with its mission and student population. It also highlights key lessons learned throughout the process in my role as project director working with participating institutions, as well as early impacts and implications for library leaders.
