Resolving Plasma and Synaptic Boundary Defects via 3D Continuous Fields
This paper validates the mathematical accuracy of computational simulations at continuous boundaries, specifically targeting plasma magnetic equilibrium (Grad-Shafranov equation) and synaptic contact interfaces. We contrast existing discrete segmentation models—which partition space into discontinuous grids—against a 3D continuous field model. The continuous approach mandates 3D linear interpolation upon data loading to guarantee geometric continuity and utilizes a unified convolution engine degenerate to a fixed 27 degrees of freedom. Empirical measurements confirm that discrete models mathematically force spatial stress to diverge under spatial resolution upscaling (reaching 37,505.1602). This artificially generates up to 96.4% non-physical plasma collapse due to dynamical friction (numerical heating), alongside anomalous cusp gradients. Conversely, the 3D continuous field model deterministically saturates spatial stress to a resolution-independent absolute minimum (16,807.875), effectively neutralizing autonomous collapse (0.001%), and achieves perfect convergence with empirically observed pressure profiles without relying on artificial parameters (e.g., artificial viscosity). Computations strictly terminate within a deterministic timeframe of 153.11 to 1003.73 ms, definitively demonstrating the total structural validity of the continuous field approach.
