Thermo-Acoustic Characterization and Antibacterial Assessment of Binary Citral–Benzene Liquid Mixtures
ABSTRACT – The present work focuses on the ultrasonic and thermodynamic investigationof binary liquid mixtures containing Citral with Benzene at 303.15 K to 318.15K over theentire composition range. Experimental measurements of density (ρ) and ultrasonic velocity(u) were carried out to evaluate the molecular interactions and structural behavior of thesystems. From the experimentally obtained data, important acoustical parameters such asisentropic compressibility (βad), intermolecular free length (Lf), acoustic impedance (Z), andmolar volume (Vm) were calculated using standard thermodynamic relations.
