Success Keys for Countries to Adapt to Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0

ABSTRACT This paper aims to suggest the success keys that can help countries achieve Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 goals. Satisfactory progress is possible by considering the technology use and environmental awareness of countries that make peace, prosperity and future of humanity more sustainable. A statistical methodology was also suggested to compare countries between 2010 and 2021. Variables were selected based on the Sustainable Development Goals in technology, research and development, energy, environment, knowledge, and economy to ensure consistency with Industry 4.0 and 5.0. Composite indicator was constructed with 89 countries, prioritizing industrial robot use and climate change. Resultingly, guided by the identified underlying issues, 10 strategic policy implications are presented to align a vision and become a competitive and sustainable industrial country that contributes to the well‐being of society and the future of the world.
