This article analyzes the scholarly activities of Yevgeniy Karlovich Betger in the fields of Oriental Studies, historiography, and bibliography. It examines his bibliographic legacy, his role in the formation of the scientific and cultural environment of Turkestan, and his scientific and practical contributions to the development of librarianship and the bibliographic system in Uzbekistan.
