The genome sequence of the Plum Tortrix, Hedya pruniana (Hubner, 1799) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae)

<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns5:italic>Hedya pruniana</ns5:italic> (Plum Tortrix; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Tortricidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 521.05 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.97%) is scaffolded into 28 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.82 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 14 396 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
