Trismus (mandibular pseudomyotonia) as the sole clinical manifestation of iatrogenic Cushing's myopathy in a dog
Abstract A 12‐year‐old dog was evaluated for progressive jaw stiffness. The dog had been treated with corticosteroids for several years for a chronic rhinitis. Clinicopathological and electromyographic abnormalities indicated pseudomyotonia secondary to iatrogenic hyperadrenocorticism. Interruption of corticosteroids resulted in progressive improvement of the jaw mobility.
