One-year treatment effects of the Yolo County Basic Income Program
• We estimated one-year treatment effects of the Yolo Basic Income program. • Payments lifted families with young children out of poverty for two years. • Decreased economic hardship and increased home rent/ownership reported after one year. • No change in parental mental health or child behavior compared to the control group. • Larger samples, longer intervention periods, and longer-term follow-up are needed.
