The Quantum Toxic Burden Index: Mathematical Specification
The Quantum Toxic Burden Index (QTBI) is a fixed, outcome-independent encoder for environmental exposure mixtures. Each exposure enters as a within-cohort percentile, is mapped to a single-qubit toxic probability, and passes through a predetermined entanglement circuit controlled by a synergy parameter. Marginal toxic probabilities are read out of the final statevector and summed, optionally with external potency weights applied only at readout. This note states the mathematical specification implemented in the qtbi R package. QTBI is evaluated by classical statevector simulation; it is a quantum-inspired burden score, not a quantum machine learning classifier.
