Enhanced epoxy/magnetized and functionalized 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane nanosilica from rice husk as anti-corrosive coating for ASTM A36 steel in 1M HCl solution: Performance evaluation, characterization and isotherm studies
• ASTM A36 steel corrosion in 1 M HCl solution. • EP@MNS@APTES achieved 98.71% inhibition efficiency at optimum point. • Experimental data conformed excellently to Langmuir model. • Coatings adsorption was spontaneous, thermodynamically favorable and endothermic. • EP@MNS@APTES was a highly effective and cheap coating from rice husk waste.
