RGB Sonification Framework for Accessible Visual Experience
The RGB Sonification Framework defines a computational methodology for the deterministic translation of chromatic information into structured acoustic representations. The system establishes a stable correspondence between the three primary channels of the RGB colour model — Red, Green, and Blue — and distinct spectral registers of the audible frequency range, producing a reproducible and scalable sonic identity for each chromatic value. The core deliverable is a structured sound bank organized according to RGB values, covering the complete interval of each channel [0–255]. The framework is designed as the foundational acoustic layer for multisensory accessibility systems, with primary applications in cultural mediation, museum accessibility, generative installation art, and human–computer interaction research. Implemented as a platform-agnostic methodology compatible with Max/MSP, SuperCollider, and Pure Data environments.
