Semantic-augmented analysis of spectral data of artworks
• Interpreting that data from artworks is traditionally a laborious manual process. • A novel workflow based on the semantic segmentation of images is introduced. • Assigning labels transforms spatial segments into meaningful categories for the expert. • Tools augmented with semantic segmentation facilitate the interpretation of the data. • The programs are free and open source.
