A systematic review and Meta-Analytic Gaussian Network Aggregation of anxious symptoms
• This study reviewed 156 networks of anxiety symptoms across 78 studies. • Network data was pooled across studies using a meta-analytic technique called MAGNA. • Uncontrollable worry was the most central node, followed by breadth of worries. • Results robustly corroborate worrying as a central mechanism maintaining anxiety. • Findings were stable across samples varying in gender, nationality, and diagnosis.
