In situ activation of RuO2 nanocrystals supported on NbOPO4 for solvent-free transalkylation and hydrodeoxygenation of eucalyptus bio-oil
• Complete eucalyptus bio-oil conversion into hydrocarbons. • Highest hydrocarbons yield in HDO reactions contrasts with reduced carbon recovery. • 48.0 wt% hydrocarbons yield achieved with 5.6%Ru/NbOPO 4 catalyst. • 67.2 wt% methyl-alkylated compounds achieved with 0.5%Ru/NbOPO 4 catalyst. • Ru 0 nanocrystals efficiently catalyzed hydrogenation and hydrogenolysis reactions.
