Practical Synthetic Approach to Pulmonarin A, Pulmonarin B, and Their Analogues

ABSTRACT In this study we developed an efficient synthetic route for Pulmonarins A and B using readily available starting substrates. The method provides an improved yield with scalable strategy useful for commercial production of these brominated marine natural products (MNPs). Under similar conditions, a diverse derivative of Pulmonarin B were synthesized in good to excellent yields under mild conditions. The entire process for the synthesis of Pulmonarins A and B, and their analogues were established under transition metal‐free conditions.
