Discovery of Imidazo[1, 2- a ]pyridine Hydrazone Derivatives as Novel Antifungal Tubulin-Targeting Agents via a Scaffold-Hopping Strategy
formed multiple hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions with tubulin, and further induced intracellular microtubule aggregation, thereby disrupting both hyphal morphology and cellular architecture. This study provides strong evidence for structural diversification in tubulin-targeting antifungal agents, offering new perspectives for overcoming existing limitations in antifungal therapy.
