TMD: The 9D Configuration Space of the Triad and the Yang–Mills Action as a Mechanical Functional
This work introduces the 9D configuration space of the triad, the minimal mathematical space that captures all degrees of freedom of a single triadic node in TMD. A triad possesses three positional degrees of freedom, three orientational degrees of freedom, and three dynamical layers (A–B–C), forming a nine‑dimensional state space analogous to phase space in classical mechanics. This space is not a physical dimension but a configuration space describing the internal state of the triad. Within this framework, the Yang–Mills action is interpreted not as a physical gauge field but as a natural mathematical functional that measures orientational curvature in the network. The orientational gradient corresponds to curvature in configuration space, the Sigma stabilizing flow acts as a gradient flow minimizing this curvature, and the Flip Freeze phenomenon appears as a singularity where the action diverges. The study provides a purely mechanical interpretation of the Yang–Mills formalism within TMD and shows that the 9D configuration space offers a coherent mathematical language for describing the dynamics of the orientational network.
