Imagining Genomics and Population Health in 2050: Anticipating Future Research, Policy, and Governance Needs

An international group of researchers, health professionals, and policy experts met in September 2025 at Ayer's Cliff, Quebec, Canada to assess progress in the application of genome-based technologies for population health since the topic was first discussed two decades earlier at a Bellagio conference. A secondary objective was to identify both persistent and emerging challenges, and the human and research resources needed to address them, for continued progress during the next 25 years. We report on both objectives.
