Viscoelastic General Relativity: A Unified Field Theory of Emergent Missing Mass

This work introduces Viscoelastic General Relativity (VGR), a chronometric field theory in which spacetime exhibits a viscoelastic memory response. By coupling the non‑metricity trace to a hidden scalar sector, VGR generates a causal kernel that enhances gravity in low‑acceleration regimes and produces retarded lensing potentials in dynamically evolving systems. With a single parameter pair, the theory simultaneously fits 175 SPARC galaxies, multiple dwarf galaxies, and ten merging clusters—including the Bullet Cluster and El Gordo—achieving cross‑scale agreement over five orders of magnitude. VGR provides a geometric, emergent explanation for missing mass phenomena traditionally attributed to dark matter.
