The Spacetime-Fold Protouniverse Hypothesis (PET)
We propose a speculative cosmological model in which the observable universe emerges from the geometric release of a Spacetime Fold (PET, from the Spanish Pliegue Espacio-Temporal): a nite region of spacetime compressed under extreme curvature by a rst massive Dominant Event (DE1) until it reaches Planck-scale densities, where all prior structure dissolves into a primordial plasma. A second Dominant Event of greater power (DE2 > DE1), located in a nearby region, overcomes the geometric tension of the fold and releases it into a multidirectional expansion. The Big Bang is interpreted as this release. The formalism, built within the principles of General Relativity, models the resulting anisotropy through the Bianchi I metric. A central result is that the release is not instantaneous: DE1 maintains geometric tension while DE2 releases the fold progressively, creating a propagating gradient that imprints a modulation A(ℓ) ∝ ℓ −1 on the primordial spectrum. This predic- tion, with asymmetry parameter ε ≈ 0.07 and transition scale ℓ∗ ∼ 60, is consistent with Planck 2018 data. The comoving size of the PET is determined to be LPET ∼ 1.5 Gpc, and for a release at the electroweak scale the Dominant Events would have masses of the order of supermassive black holes (∼ 106 M⊙). The model further predicts that large-scale cosmic structures should concentrate in the plane perpendicular to the release axis, a prediction consistent with the observed positions of the Great Attractor and the Shapley Supercluster.
