Lower Airway Conditions Contribute to the Prediction of Polyp Recurrence in Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps and Comorbid Asthma
KEY POINTS: Duration of asthma, ratio of peak expiratory flow to predicted value, and ratio of maximal expiratory flow at 25% of the vital capacity to predicted value are independent risk factors for polyp recurrence in patients with CRSwNP+AS. A lower+upper model created with the ethmoid sinus score and the three lower airway factors shows good predictive value for polyp recurrence in patients with CRSwNP+AS.
