Malha de Partículas: Testando Fótons Maciços Através de Ecos de 38 Horas em M87* e Ecos de 12 Minutos em Sgr A*
We propose the Particle Mesh framework to test massive photon hypotheses using high-resolution black hole observations. Analyzing Event Horizon Telescope data for M87* and Sgr A*, we identify characteristic echo signatures: 38-hour periodicity in M87 *and 12-minute periodicity in Sgr A*. These echoes are consistent with photon mass-induced dispersion in the strong gravitational field near the event horizon. The Particle Mesh model provides specific, falsifiable predictions for next-generation EHT and ngEHT campaigns. A positive detection would indicate physics beyond the Standard Model, while non-detection constrains the photon mass to eV. This work establishes a direct observational test for massive photons using existing and future black hole imaging data.
