A speculative space-time wave representation of neutrino oscillations
The central idea is that a neutrino may be represented as a weak space-time wave: a small periodic geometric disturbance whose internal phase dynamics is governed by a GR-motivated effective operator. Unlike the standard phenomenological approach, the model does not start by postulating three independent mass eigenstates. Instead, a weak space-time potential modifies the local proper-time rate, and the resulting phase load, together with spatial stiffness, produces a Sturm–Liouville-type operator. Its spectrum naturally contains nearly degenerate pairs, whose first two splittings generate two dominant beat scales. Their ratio is close to the observed hierarchy of the two main neutrino oscillation scales. The model also proposes a projection criterion based on the visible gradient of the effective space-time potential, leading to a PMNS-like pattern of mixing angles.
