Planetary Core Attenuation Theory
This paper presents a conceptual framework for the reinterpretation of planetary gravityin which the observed gravitational field of celestial bodies is not considered solely a directconsequence of total mass, but rather the result of an interaction between the primarygravity of the planetary core and the gravitational attenuation produced by surroundingconfined mass layers. In this model, the planetary core acts as the dominant source of gravitational confinement, while surrounding layers including the mantle, crust, oceans, and gaseous envelopesmay partially reduce or attenuate the observable gravitational effect of the core. Accordingly, effective surface gravity may be interpreted as the differential result between intrinsiccore gravity and attenuation generated by surrounding mass structures. This framework further establishes a conceptual connection between tidal phenomena, radial gravitational attenuation, and planetary internal structures. The theory also providespossible interpretations for the gravitational behavior of gaseous planets, gravity variationsassociated with planetary mass loss, and cumulative attenuation effects generated by alignedmassive bodies.
