The SO(3,3) Matrix Model on P3: A Synthesis
We present a synthetic overview of the SO(3,3) matrix model framework, connecting its mathematical foundation -- the two canonical resolutions of 0/0 -- to its quantitative predictions: the fine-structure constant, Newton's constant, the cosmological constant, and the fermion mass spectrum. The complete chain, from a structural axiom through icosahedral geometry to Standard-Model physics, is assembled from the companion papers [1-9,13] and two new companion notes: one deriving emergent 4D Einstein gravity with a computable Newton constant G_4^{-1} = 42.86 R^4/g^2 [E], and one deriving the Yukawa sector from the representation theory of the binary icosahedral group 2I* [F]. The derivation status has evolved significantly since the original status paper [2]. The topological reading established in [8] -- identifying alpha as a topological invariant of P^3 via the Cheeger-Mueller theorem and the Thurston-Perelman uniqueness -- has promoted the spectral identifications that were originally classified as Tier B (structural motivation with post-hoc numerical identification) to Tier A (derived). The orbifold centraliser derivation of delta = log(2/3)/30, the topological universality of zeta_rho(1) = dim(rho) x c, and the Cheeger-Mueller equivalence between analytic and Reidemeister torsion together close the main open analytic step identified in [2, Section 4]. The synthesis reveals a recurring structural motif: at each stage of the derivation, the framework re-emerges -- not as a philosophical postulate, but as a mathematical necessity. The manifold P^3 = S^3/2I* is the unique quotient that simultaneously supports a geometric structure (Thurston-Perelman), an alpha-determining spectral invariant (the Laurent series in epsilon = 1/120), a computable Newton constant (the spectral zeta function zeta_total(1) = 3.572), and a complete fermion sector with three generations, a Pati-Salam gauge group, and mass splittings determined by the icosahedral geometry -- all without free parameters.
