Using a structured template to improve the “FAIRness” of datasets from agricultural research
• Agronomic research datasets increasingly must satisfy FAIR principles. • A structured workbook template supports complete, accurate dataset assembly. • Local or crop-specific terms are allowed but mapped to more generic ICASA terms. • Software tools facilitate dataset assembly, notably via quality control tests. • Datasets from multi-season nitrogen management demonstrate template use.
