Replication package for "Future Time Reference and Time Preferences at the Individual Level: Evidence from Spanish-Speaking Teenagers"
This repository contains the data and replication code to reproduce all figures and tables in the paper. The study tests whether endogenous use of the present tense to refer to future events is associated with individual discount factors among Spanish-speaking teenagers in Spain and El Salvador, replicating the design of Keller et al. (2024) in a new linguistic and socioeconomic context. Contents: two cleaned datasets (spain.dta, salvador.dta), two Stata do-files (one per country), and a README with variable descriptions and replication instructions. Software: Stata 10 or later (SE or MP). Required packages: outreg2, fre, distinct (all available via SSC).
