AGE-RELATED CHARACTERISTICS OF METABOLIC SYNDROME COMPONENTS IN ELDERLY PATIENTS

The prevalence of metabolic syndrome components and their combinations in elderly patients was analyzed. The study results showed that the number and severity of metabolic disorders increased with age. Arterial hypertension and abdominal obesity were identified as the most common components. The simultaneous presence of several components was found to be associated with an increased cardiometabolic risk.
