Mechanistic role of SNHG1 in glioblastoma progression and therapy
Small nucleolar RNA host gene 1 (SNHG1), a key long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), is critically involved in the initiation and progression of GBM (glioblastoma). Recent studies have revealed that SNHG1 is significantly overexpressed in GBM cells, with its expression levels closely correlate with the prognosis of GBM patients. This paper reviews the expression patterns and molecular mechanisms of SNHG1 in GBM, emphasizing its involvement in tumor cell proliferation, survival, angiogenesis, endoplasmic reticulum stress response, and the tumor microenvironment. SNHG1 significantly influences the biological behavior of GBM cells by modulating miRNA-related signaling pathways and transcription factors. Moreover, its potential as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker has garnered significant attention. In conclusion, further investigation into SNHG1 provides a valuable theoretical foundation for understanding GBM mechanisms and developing therapeutic strategies. This research holds important diagnostic and prognostic clinical significance.
