Statistical modeling and optimization of ultrasound-assisted deep eutectic solvent extraction for ferulic acid recovery from fruit waste
• The UAE-DES system yielded 170 mg/gdw crude ferulic acid. • Optimized extraction produced 37 mg/gdw pure ferulic acid (HPLC). • The extract showed strong antioxidant activity. • FTIR confirmed interactions in the ChCl–glycerol DES system. • The method enables sustainable valorization of fruit waste.
