Using portable luminescence profiling to refine 14C and OSL-based chronologies of lacustrine littoral sedimentary sequences: a case study from Schweriner See (NE Germany)
• Portable OSL provides additional chronological information. • Portable OSL facilitates identification of poorly bleached sediments. • Integration of 14 C, OSL and pOSL data enhances Bayesian age–depth models. • Highest lake levels in Schweriner See occurred prior to 13,300 cal BP. • Rapid transgression in Schweriner See occurred at ∼8500 cal BP.
