The Syntax of Anticipation: Logical Structure, Bayesian Flows, and the Grammar of Thought in the Directional Node (Cognitive-Informational Domain)

Abstract This article constitutes the in-depth monograph of the Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM) dedicated to the investigation of Node 1 of the Prognostica Mens strictly through the lens of the Cognitive-Informational Domain: The Directional Dichotomy. While its biophysical counterpart analyzes the material hardware of solitons and membrane lipid dynamics, this essay unveils the logical architecture, computational grammar, and data format management that structure predictive thought. It examines the informational flow defining the dialectic between the Centrifugal Flow (top-down generative macro-hypotheses) and the Centripetal Flow (bottom-up error strings). TIM’s original hypothesis mathematically maps how the mind extracts coherent meaning from the computational chaos of the Discontinuum. By explicating the Bayesian formalism—purified of extrinsic physical constructs—the article describes Attentional Focus as a selector of bandwidth and informational gain, capable of altering the deep syntax of internal beliefs to guarantee the Allostasis of the cognitive system. Keywords: Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM), Prognostica Mens, Active Inference, Predictive Coding, Bayesian Formalism, Precision Weighting, Attentional Focus, Generative Models, Cognitive-Informational Domain.
