Evaluation and Treatment Options for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding in Premenopausal Patients With a History of Breast Cancer
Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common gynecologic complaint, with first-line treatment commonly involving hormonal medication. In premenopausal patients with a history of breast cancer, both the differential diagnosis and management require special consideration. This narrative review focuses on the evaluation and treatment of chronic AUB in women with a history of breast cancer. With reference to key studies and meta-analyses, we highlight controversies and current unanswered questions about patient management.
