k-Truss Theory: A Universe Built Exclusively of Points and Edges — The Ultimate Geometric Simplification
In the historical pursuit of a "Theory of Everything," physics has continually added complex dimensions, parameters, and magical constants to fit observational data. This working paper takes the exact opposite approach: the absolute simplification of the universe's architecture. Abandoning the previous "k-Foam" model, this paper rebrands the framework as "k-Truss Theory." It completely eliminates the concept of "faces" (surfaces) and strips the universe down to pure Graph Theory. Reality consists solely of "Points" (vertices) and "Edges" (connections) forming an Octet Truss network. By discarding the obsession with deriving specific magic numbers (like 137 or 26), the theory reveals that fundamental physical laws emerge naturally and inevitably from pure discrete geometry: Key Geometric Breakthroughs:* The End of Surfaces: "Faces" are merely cognitive illusions. The universe is a 3D wireframe.* Redefining Particles: Electrons are closed edge loops with torsion. Photons are open loops sliding along the grid. Quarks are geometrically unstable 3-vertex structures.* The True Nature of Charge and Magnetism: Charge is simply the direction of topological twist (clockwise/counterclockwise) caused by the ± bias of vertex sockets. Magnetism is the propagation of this twist across the grid.* Inertia and Gravity Unified: Inertia is the cost of maintaining a catching pattern against the grid edges. Gravity is the macroscopic elastic propagation of those catches. The Equivalence Principle is geometrically proven as two sides of the same mechanical interaction.* Black Holes as "Tangled Yarn": Eliminating the mathematical impossibility of singularities, black holes are modeled as regions where the octet truss grid is physically "wound up" and tangled like a ball of yarn, naturally explaining the asymmetry of jets and Hawking radiation. This theory offers no empirical constants to memorize. It offers only the mechanical truth of a discrete geometric network.
