The Mechanics of Flow: Solitonic Waves and Cerebral Turbulence in the Directional Node of the Predictive Mind (Biophysical Domain)
Abstract This article constitutes the first in-depth monograph of the Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM) and thoroughly explores Node 1 of the Prognostica Mens through the lens of the Biophysical Domain: The Directional Dichotomy. Overcoming the epistemological fracture between pure computational models and avant-garde neurophysiology, this essay analyzes the material "circulatory system" of information: the incessant clash between the Centrifugal Flow (Top-Down predictions) and the Centripetal Flow (Bottom-Up errors). The article traces the historical evolution of this dichotomy to then introduce TIM’s original hypothesis: the integration of predictive calculation with solitonic mechano-biology and peripheral circuits. The thermodynamic friction between these flows generates "Cerebral Turbulence." The dynamic cursor of this clash is Attentional Focus, which, by maneuvering the "knob" of the thalamic Pulvinar, amplifies the mechanical energy of the error to guide the structural resolution entrusted to the Prefrontal Cortex. Keywords: Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM), Predictive Coding, Active Inference, Solitonic Waves, Heimburg-Jackson Equation, Cerebral Turbulence, Pulvinar, Predictive Routing, Mechano-biology.
