Zeno-Amplified Sidereal Modulation: A Laboratory Test for Preferred-Frame Effects via Quantum Coherence Monitoring

We propose a laboratory test for preferred-frame effects (kinematic Lorentz invariance violation, LIV) based on the Continuous Quantum Zeno Effect (CQZE). The proposal is formulated within an effective information-theoretic framework~\citep{wittwer2026sr-v3.0} in which we postulate a process budget $I^2 + R^2 + C^2 = 1$---an ansatz governing the allocation of a node's update capacity between internal coherence ($I$), relocation ($R$), and environmental coupling ($C$)---which, within this ansatz, couples kinematic load and Zeno suppression. Under the model-internal identification $\Gamma_{\mathrm{eff}} \propto I$, an increase in the kinematic load $R = v_{\mathrm{pref}}/c$ reduces the effective internal process rate $I$ and hence the Zeno-suppressed decay rate; this identification is a phenomenological ansatz, not a consequence of standard CQZE master-equation theory. For a strongly monitored system in the Zeno regime, the model predicts a relative modulation amplified quadratically by the Zeno factor $Z = \Gamma_0/\Gamma_{\mathrm{eff}}$: $\Delta\Gamma/\Gamma \approx - R \, \Delta R \, Z^2$. For the sidereal rotational modulation under the CMB-frame hypothesis, this corresponds to a predicted peak-to-peak amplitude $\Delta\Gamma/\Gamma \approx 3.6 \times 10^{-5}$ at $Z = 100$ (equatorial estimate; ${\sim}\,2.4 \times 10^{-5}$ at mid-latitude sites), distinguishable from environmental artifacts by its sidereal (not solar) period and its characteristic $Z^2$ scaling. A null-balance variant of the protocol---the Quantum Zeno Anemometer---allows the preferred-frame velocity $v_{\mathrm{pref}}$ to be extracted from the ratio of power modulation to mean power; the extracted value is species-independent provided the effective variables $(R,C,I)$ are realized in the same way across platforms. The prediction is falsifiable. This manuscript was drafted in May 2026 and is uploaded here in May 2026 as Version 1.0 of the preprint.
