The Carlo Loop Lab: Creative Experiments in Loop Dynamics and Mathematical Behaviour
The Carlo Loop Lab is a relaxed collection of creative experiments exploring how loops behave when pushed, stretched, or otherwise encouraged to misbehave. It brings together a series of mathematical twists—some sensible, some less so—that examine contradiction, escalation, infinity, and structural distortion in a playful but still coherent way. While the work borrows the language of formal modelling, it doesn’t pretend to be a conventional mathematical framework. Instead, it treats the loop as a sandbox for testing ideas, bending rules, and seeing what happens when familiar structures are nudged into unfamiliar territory. The tone is intentionally light, the methods occasionally questionable, and the results surprisingly consistent given the circumstances. Readers should expect a mixture of genuine conceptual structure, mild chaos, and the occasional self‑aware aside. It’s intended for anyone curious about creative mathematical behaviour, or simply in the mood for something that takes itself just seriously enough to stay upright. Best approached with a cup of tea and reasonable expectations. Acknowledgements Grateful thanks to my family for enduring the sound of me typing furiously at 3am while Motörhead played in the background. I appreciate that this was not, strictly speaking, conducive to sleep.
