Camilla_Horde : A Thermo-Artistic Device for Hauntological Computing

Abstract Camilla_Horde is a practice-based research project that installs a graphics processing unit inside a traditional Spanish heated table (mesa camilla), transforming it into a shared computational system. The piece is relocated, along with its residual heat, to public and cultural spaces so visitors can sit at the table and generate images locally and collectively. The project is guided by two complementary impulses: a concern for perma-computing practices and an interest in recovering forgotten forms of collective life that technological modernity has displaced.
